About Me../ Sobre Mí
With nearly two decades of experience supporting the mental health of adolescents and adults, I founded Colores Therapy and Wellness to create a space for authentic, systemic healing. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Psychologist, I am proud to offer comprehensive therapy services to clients throughout California, helping individuals navigate their unique journeys toward wellness.
Like many who are drawn to the helping professions, my path to psychology began early, rooted in my own lived experiences. As a proud Mexican American and the daughter of first-generation immigrants, I grew up in an environment where mental health was often misunderstood or left unspoken.
Navigating my own journey through childhood and generational trauma, as well as the systemic weights of racism and classism, taught me that stress doesn't just live in our thoughts—it lives in our bodies. Through my education, clinical training, and my own ongoing healing, I have developed a deep, personal understanding of this mind-body connection, including how trauma impacts physical health.
Today, as a bilingual psychologist, my mission is to help destigmatize mental wellness within our society and specifically within our communities. I am here to assist, advocate for, and empower you. Whether we are speaking in English or Spanish, my goal is to provide a safe, validating space where we can honor your resilience and work toward holistic healing
Please feel free to schedule a free phone consultation so that we can make sure I am the right therapist to support you.
